Annual Public Meeting

Each year, we hold an Annual Public Meeting to present our Annual & Sustainability Reports and financial statements and discuss the management, operation, and maintenance of YVR.

Our Annual Public Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

The meeting will run from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Please join us for the meeting in person or virtually as we share an overview of 2024 and talk about the important role that YVR plays in keeping B.C. connected to the world as well as in supporting our community and the economy that supports it.

The presentation will be followed by a question period for the public.

The in-person meeting will be conducted in English with live French translation and simultaneous sign-language interpretation in ASL. The virtual meeting will be available in English and French, via simultaneous translation. Sign-language interpretation in ASL will also be accessible to those attending virtually.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions at the meeting in person and online. Below is a response to one outstanding question from the meeting, which was received online just as the APM was adjourned.

My child is on the autism spectrum, and it can make travelling challenging. What services do you have to help children with autism disorder to travel?
  • At YVR, we understand that travelling can be challenging for neurodiverse children. We offer various services to make the experience smoother and more comfortable. One key initiative is the YVR Autism Accessibility Tour, part of our annual Autism Aviation Days, allowing children to practice the entire travel process in a controlled, supportive environment. Additionally, we have partnered with the Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) and AIDE to create a training video series that simulates the travel experience from curb to cloud. These on-demand videos help individuals familiarize themselves with various travel processes, empowering them to approach real travel situations with confidence. Our staff is also trained to help and accommodate specific needs.
