Translation Services

YVR offers on-demand translation services to guests who need help communicating with airport staff. We have access to over 240 different languages, including American Sign Language, to help our staff effectively communicate with everyone, including guests who may be Deaf or hard of hearing and those with a limited knowledge of English or French, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Audio, video, sign-language and live language translation support can be accessed anytime through a Guest Experience Representative. Additionally, tablets equipped with translation services are available at our Information Counters. Information Counters can be found at the following locations:

Before Security

  • International Arrivals Information Counter – Level 2
  • Domestic Arrivals Information Counter – Level 2
  • International / US Information Counter – near International Food Court – Level 3
  • Domestic/International Information Counter near Air Canada International Check-in – Level 3
  • Domestic Information Counter near Domestic Food Court – Level 3

After Security

  • Domestic Information Counter near Gate 29
  • Domestic Information Counter – near Gate B17
